Hello everyone,
Wanted to let everyone know about the reasons you may have noted the following:
Different writing style
Short blog posts (that are not my usual writing)
Lack of responding to comments
Not commenting or reading your new posts
The reasons for the above is as of late have noted I am having trouble with reading comprehension – which is very odd for me.
Unsure if do to stress (well from the “Unsolvable” Rubics Cube post” issues
Or
If this is a side affect from my new medication that is working well, but since started have noted marked decrease in reading comprehension.
Not a lie or excuse, my readers know me fairly well and sure some of you may be a bit worried about the writing style being different and super short.
I love reading and commenting on posts, so hopefully if there is a good day where the reading issue is ok, I can stop by and comment on your new posts.
So, if you get comments that are not thoughtful, it’s due to my reading comprehension as of late.
Know my blogging peeps worry so wanted to let everyone know.
🙂
Liz

/ October 7, 2012Yikes! I am so sorry. That must be incredibly frustrating for such an avid reader. Could it be mental burn-out? Maybe a vacation of “stay-cation” is in order?

/ October 9, 2012Seems ok today, you know what…think it was information overload, did a bit too much reading, think my eyes were like, “stop reading, stop reading…take a break.”
So, I did and they are ok, now…Blog addict here.
Bloggers Anonymous anyone?

/ October 12, 2012I am glad that your eyes have your best interest in mind! 🙂 It is impressive you got through the withdrawal of being away from the blogosphere!

/ October 15, 2012Thanks Rebecca, always love a nice compliment!

/ October 9, 2012Well, think it was over reading…I do tend to read too much on the computer and for research.
Research addict here and blogging addict.
🙂 Think the eyes just needed a screen break for a bit.

/ October 7, 2012I took about three weeks off from blogging on roughseas, although did try to comment. No need to blog/comment if you don’t feel up to it. Sometimes I just comment on the easier/lighter posts when I don’t feel up to thinking clever thoughts 😀

/ October 9, 2012Good idea, sometimes think a writing break actually helps with more ideas and better posts too, not only that but to get more aquainted with real life, because it is so much easier to just live with friendly blogosphere folks then to deal with the bitching and whining around here in real life, ha ha lol oh and I am usually the person doing much bitching and whining here in real life as of late. ha ha lol Think we women have that right, right?

/ October 7, 2012I would definitely blame it on the meds. Was on anxiety meds years ago & they put a shield between my thoughts and emotions & my desire/ability to express them and my ability to focus on cerebral things. I think any medication that your body is trying to adjust to can do this until all systems’ chemistry are back in balance. It scared me – I’m a person who loves to read, & I couldn’t focus on a book or retain what I was reading. It did go away though – took a bit of time & patience with myself (and I only needed to be on the meds for a short time, which was a plus.)

/ October 9, 2012Think you are right KungFugirl, because it seems to be going away now…been over a month so, maybe my body had to adjust, glad you shared that because thought it was a million other things like eyes or information overload or stress or who knows, but what you stated makes perfect sense to me.

/ October 8, 2012Medications are often a blessing wrapped in a curse wrapped in an annoyance. I’ve missed your writings though, and look forward to the lifting of the haze.

/ October 9, 2012Yes, they surely are it’s like some good always comes with some bad in any medications although the good does seem to be way out weighing the bad with this medication, which if people read the prior post on my history, they would understand it took me about 15 years to get correct tests and diagnosis and now just have to take one medication that fixes a genetic inherited issue, it is working wonders though, side effects seem to be going away as the doctor said they would, and so I guess worth it. Well, with this I really have no choice in the matter. 🙂 Have to take the medication, at least it is only one pill and once at bedtime.

/ October 8, 2012That whole OPP thing. 😉
